EcoQuest – Youth for a Sustainable Future is a 15-month Erasmus+ Youth Participation project that brings together young people from Germany and Greece to explore sustainability through outdoor learning, creativity, and active participation. The project empowers participants to take action on climate change and biodiversity by developing practical skills, reconnecting with nature, and engaging with their local communities.
Through climbing, hiking, sustainable cooking, creative workshops, and youth-led initiatives, participants gain hands-on experience while building leadership, teamwork, and environmental awareness. The project includes eight local events, two international mobilities, and opportunities to exchange ideas with experts, local organisations, and decision-makers, helping young people become active contributors to a more sustainable future.

This event combined beginner-friendly climbing with environmental education to inspire young people to connect with nature and take action for sustainability. Participants learned basic climbing techniques while exploring the importance of biodiversity and the role of bees in healthy ecosystems in collaboration with Stadtbienen. Through outdoor activities, teamwork, and reflection, the event encouraged participants to see how individual actions can contribute to a more sustainable future.

Fight and Climb for a Green Future combined beginner-friendly climbing with environmental education to inspire young people to connect with nature and take action for sustainability. Participants learned basic climbing techniques while exploring the relationship between climbing, biodiversity, and wildlife conservation in collaboration with the Hellenic Ornithological Society. Through outdoor activities, teamwork, creative reflection, and discussions in the natural environment of Mount Parnitha, the event encouraged participants to recognise how individual and collective actions can contribute to protecting ecosystems and building a more sustainable future.
